Hong Kong does NOT have any tax on goods & services (except cigarettes & alcohol are taxed)

Airport Tax & charges
Each passenger flying out of Hong Kong International Airport is charged the following:
» HK$120 Air Passengers Departure Tax
» HK$33 security charge

Exceptions:
» Children under 12, &
» Passengers who arrive and depart Hong Kong Airport in the same day
are not liable to pay the Departure Tax.

These charges are normally paid by passengers when they purchase their ticket.
